Korean Air flight #KE917 from Seoul to Zurich was escorted to Stuttgart after loss of communication.
Two German Airforce Eurofighter jets were scrambled on Saturday evening at 20:45 LT after Korean Air Boeing 777-300ER declared communication failure.
The Boeing 777-300ER (reg. HL8011) safely landed at 22:05 LT.
Two loud bangs frightened many people due to the fighter jets breaking the sound barrer. On Twitter some users asked for the reason:
