Runway incursion today at Tel Aviv during easyJet flight on short final.
At 1128 UTC, a Turkish Airlines A321 (reg.TC-JMH) flight #TK795 to Istanbul (IST) crossed runway 12 via taxiway R, on its way to depart from runway 26. At the same time, an easyJet A320 (reg.G-EZTK) flight U24783 from from Berlin (SXF) was about to land on runway 12.
When the easyJet aircraft was at about 500 feet, the controller gave instructions to go around due to the Turkish A321 on the runway.
Although the controllers (ground control and tower control) told the Turkish pilots to hold short of runway 12, they started to cross it.
