IAG to purchase $10 billion worth of Boeing aircraft and 21 jets from Airbus as part of a fleet expansion split between the two aerospace giants.

International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes the British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and LEVEL brands, has ordered a total of 71 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing to strengthen its fleet. The group has also received an option right for additional aircraft.

Within the scope of the order, 21 A330-900s were ordered from Airbus, and an option right for 13 aircraft was also received in addition to this model.

The A330-900s are planned to join the Aer Lingus, Iberia or LEVEL fleets. 6 A350-900s were also ordered for the Iberia fleet, while 6 A350-1000s will be purchased for use in the British Airways fleet.

On the Boeing side, 32 B787-10s were ordered for British Airways. In addition to these aircraft, an option right for 10 aircraft was defined.
