KLM flights to Shanghai and Singapore returned to Amsterdam Schiphol Sunday following technical issues.

Sunday, December 29 2024, KLM flight KL895 departed Amsterdam at 14:19 CET to Shanghai but 4 hours into the flight, the Boeing 777-200ER turned around over Azerbaijan at 34,000 ft altitude.

The aircraft (registration PH-BQD) landed back at Schiphol 9 hours after departure. There was a problem with “drinking water” according to Dutch news De Telegraaf.

Few hours later, KLM flight KL835 departed Amsterdam at 21:54 CET to Singapore and climbed to 29,000 ft but the Boeing 777-300ER quickly returned to Schiphol.

The aircraft (registration PH-BVS) landed back at AMS Airport 1 hour and 32 minutes later due to apparent fuel problems.
