The Airbus A350-900 (registration F-HUVI) climbed to altitude cruise of 39,000 ft and flew for about 4 hours before ATC vectored the plane to Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.
The crew detected a burning smell from the galley and preferred to divert as precautionary measure.
The aircraft taxied to the gate and was checked by ground team.
Two hours later, the flight was cleared to continue to Paris.
The flight is expected to land at CDG Airport at 15:30 CEST.
