A Jet Suite X (JSX) Embraer ERJ-145 suffered a left main gear collapse on landing runway 04 at Houston-Hobby Airport.

The Embraer ERJ-145 with registration N942JX was operating flight XE284 from Dallas to Houston with 31 occupants on board. However, on landing the aircraft suffered a left main landing gear collapse.

This caused the aircraft to veer to the left until it ran off the side of the runway before it came to a rest on its left wingtip within the designated shoulder area.

Airport officials confirmed that 31 people were on board, with one crew member sustaining minor injuries during the incident.

“The landing gear collapsed on the JSX aircraft after landing on runway 4. Emergency services are on scene. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.”

The cause of the landing gear collapse is still under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The Embraer ERJ-145LR is a regional jet aircraft commonly used for shorter-haul flights.

The specific aircraft involved in this incident was manufactured in 2001.
