BRISBANE, Australia — An Air New Zealand flight operating from Auckland to Brisbane requested medical assistance prior to landing on Monday morning after a cabin crew member fell ill and required supplementary oxygen mid-flight.

Flight NZ141, an Airbus A321neo service departing Auckland International Airport (AKL), was approaching its destination when the flight crew radioed air traffic controllers to request a medical assessment on arrival due to an in-flight health situation involving one of their onboard crew members.

The aircraft entered a temporary holding pattern during its final approach before touching down safely at Brisbane Airport (BNE) at 07:10 AEST on Monday, October 19, 2026, approximately one hour behind its scheduled arrival time.

According to flight records, the pilots requested medical staff to meet the aircraft at the gate to evaluate the cabin crew member immediately upon landing. Flight attendants administered supplementary medical oxygen onboard after the staff member experienced medical distress in flight.

No emergency landing was declared, and the aircraft completed a routine rollout to the gate, where local medical responders assessed the affected crew member.
