Hainan Airlines A330 Inaugural flight from Edinburgh to Dublin | Wing view

Tuesday June 12th 2018 was a very special day as I set off at 4am to fly onboard their inaugural flight from Edinburgh to Dublin.

The new service begins in Beijing, flying to Scotlands capital before continuing with a short flight over the Irish sea to Dublin.

This was my first ever time onboard an A330 and it really was an amazing experience, plenty of legroom, great inflight entertainment (albeit it was a short flight).
Check in was at check in desk 41 inside the terminal (online check in is not available for this flight).

I had already pre-selected my seat online when booking my flight, but I was offered another seating choice when I arrived at the terminal. So I opted for seat 33K (overlooking the wing/engine).

The engine spool up as we pushed back was amazing, before then making a swift departure from runway 06.

All in all it was an amzing flight. If you have any questions then please leave a comment in the section below.

If you’re an avgeek like myself then this is really a must do flight, it only costs £53 one way but is worth it for the experience.
