The Russian Space Agency finally took the decision to not launch the latest batch of satellites for OneWeb.

The Russian Space Agency is currently removing the Soyuz rocket 2.1b from the launch pad amid tension due to the war in Ukraine.

Russian Space Agency: “If before 21.30 Friday Russia does not receive guarantees that British OneWeb satellites will not be used for military purposes, the launch vehicle will be removed from the launch. Any attempts to hack Russian satellites are casus belli.”

The latest batch of satellites for OneWeb’s broadband constellation is currently at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Russian-controlled launch site in Kazakhstan, where Europe’s Arianespace planed to launch them on Friday March 4 on a Russian Soyuz rocket.
