British Airways flight #BA2279 to Vancouver rejected take off.

A British Airways Boeing 777-200ER rejected take off on runway 26 at London Gatwick.

The aircraft (registration G-VIIT) rejected take off at high speed due to a technical issue. The brakes slammed right before takeoff, a passenger commented.

The Boeing 777 was met by fire trucks at the end of the runway before it taxied to a remote area of the airport.

Firemen had to inspect the brakes before the pilots were allowed to move the aircraft.
