The A340-300 (registration HB-JMF) got airborne but immediately lost height after rotation until it almost touched down again.

The pilots eventually managed to regain a stable climb and continued their flight normally.

According to JACDEC, early indications suggest the A340 encountered a possible negative windshear.

The aircraft is 20 years old and performed its first flight on October 2023.

The Aviation Herald suggests a tailwind gust is being suspected and an investigation has been opened.
