An 8-hour TUI flight to nowhere

A TUI flight from Sweden to Thailand was more than half into the flight when crew decided to return.

A TUI Boeing 787 from Gothenburg to Phuket returned back to Sweden.

The Boeing 787-9 (reg. SE-RFZ) departed Gothenburg at 17:05 CET on Friday, February 2 2024 to Phuket.

The estimated flight time was 11 hours, but while flying at 41,000ft over Azerbaijan, the crew had to decide to return due to a technical issue.

 

The flight #6B355 landed at Stockholm the day next after 8 hours and 34 minutes flight to nowhere.

A Norse flight carried the stranded passengers to Phuket the day after.
