Dominique Duriani, Air France captain, and his daughter Angélique, co-pilot, performed a rotation aboard their Boeing 777 between Paris Orly and Bastia.

Days ago, Dominique, 62, and Angélique, 32, completed an Paris-Orly-Bastia rotation together on flights AF 4244 and AF 4245, at the controls of a Boeing 777.

Angélique, the young “copi”, has just been “released”, that is to say authorized to pilot the aircraft independently within a crew after a flight made last week between Atlanta and Roissy.

After passing the private pilot’s license in record time at the Bastia Saint-Exupéry flying club, she took correspondence courses and obtained the theoretical airline pilot’s license then Angélique passed her practical qualifications in Nîmes to acquire a certain number of hours.

She then applied for Air Corsica, which selected her, and she became an ATR 72.

In 2017, she joined Air France, qualified on the Airbus A320 and traveled around Europe.

At the end of 2019, the young woman applied for long-haul, she continued her training on the Boeing 777 and obtained her wide-body qualification on July 17.

Dominique has 27,000 flying hours behind him and more than thirty-three years of career at Air France. “It was a day rich in emotions and I must say that this rotation tired me more than a flight to San Francisco.”
