A Gulfstream IV carrying American comedian Gabriel Iglesias overran the runway after landing at Andrews-Western Carolina Regional Airport in North Carolina.

The aircraft was carrying six passengers and two crew members, and no injuries were reported. It came to a stop in a grassy area off the runway without colliding with anything, and the passengers and crew were able to evacuate safely.

The local area had been experiencing heavy rain during the morning. The cause of the overrun is under investigation.

Iglesias was on his way to perform at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina. He took to Twitter shortly after the incident to thank his fans for their concern and to let them know that he was uninjured.

The Andrews-Western Carolina Regional Airport is a small airport located about 10 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a popular destination for private jets and general aviation aircraft.
