A Ilyushin IL-96 from Moscow has landed in Washington D.C. to withdraw Russian Diplomats

A Russian Government Ilyushin IL-96 has arrived tonight in Washington D.C. for Diplomatic transport.

The Il-96-300 (RSD898) with the Rossiya Airline’s “Special Flight Squadron” which is used by Russian Government Officials has landed in Washington D.C. from Moscow.

The Ilyushin IL-96 was forced to avoid airspaces of European countries.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has stated that the Rossiya Flight from Moscow will be used to Withdraw a number of Russian Diplomats who are now required to leave the United States after completing a 3-Year Stay.

The Il-96-30 flew from Washington D.C. and New York and is now enroute to Moscow, expected to land on Friday 30 June at 08:05 local time.
