The family’s calamities are part of a deadly pattern of aviation disasters in Nepal.

Captain Anju Khatiwada, who died in plane crash Nepal, decided to become a pilot after her husband died in a plane’s accident back in 2006.

Rescuers on Monday recovering the body of a victim who died in a Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara, Nepal, the day before. Seventy-two people were on the flight.

Captain Anju Khatiwada became a pilot for Yeti Airlines after her husband Dipak Pokhrel was killed in a plane crash in 2006 while operating a flight for the same carrier.

The widow used the life insurance money from her husband’s death to pay for her pilot training in the US so she could continue her late husband’s dream.

On Sunday Anju was co-piloting the Yeti Airlines ATR-72 that crashed just moments before landing killing all 72 on board.
