President Joe Biden and Wife Jill Biden were evacuated from their Rehoboth Beach home to a nearby fire station after an aircraft crossed into restricted airspace.

In a statement made by the US Secret Service earlier today, it was announced that an aircraft entered restricted airspace around 1:00pm local time, forcing the Bidens to a secure location at a nearby fire station.

The Secret Service said in a statement, “Shortly before 1 p.m. today a privately owned aircraft entered the restricted airspace over Rehoboth, Delaware after mistakenly entering a secured area.” Once the situation was identified the aircraft was promptly escorted out of the area by two military planes.

According to US Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi, “Preliminary investigation reveals the pilot was not on the proper radio channel, was not following the NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen) that had been filed, and was not following published flight guidance. The United States Secret Service will be interviewing the pilot.”

While on the ground, law enforcement closed off Rehoboth Ave. Officials have confirmed the the Bidens are safe that there is no on-going threat.
