An Antonov An-12 entered Ukrainian airspace today.

A first since a while: today an Antonov An-12 entered Ukrainian airspace.

The Antonov An-12BK (reg. UR-11316) looks to have landed in Uzhhorod Airport. The runway is right at the border with Slovakia, a NATO country.

The aircraft took off from Tekirdag, Turkey and could be carrying miliatry supplies such as Bayraktar TB2 drones.

The Antonov An-12 is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and has many variants.

For more than three decades the An-12 was the standard medium-range cargo and paratroop transport aircraft of the Soviet air forces.
