Flybe flights are set to relaunch next month with bases in Birmingham and Belfast City two years after the airline collapsed.

The airline was pushed into administration in March 2020 as Covid wreaked havoc on parts of the travel market, but was saved last year when its business and assets were bought by Thyme Opco, and it was established as Flybe Ltd.

The airline has relaunched and bookings have opened on a series of both domestic and international routes, with the first flights due to take off from April 13.

The airline is looking to launch a total of 23 routes, which will mean up to 530 flights per week. They will be operated on the company’s Dash 8-400 planes.

This will include UK routes to the likes of Leeds, London Heathrow, Manchester, East Midlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as some international routes to Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Avignon Provence in France.
