China has reportedly refused to supply aircraft parts to Russian airlines, as said by Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsia’s spokesperson on Thursday.

He also said that Russia would look to source those parts from other countries, including Turkey and India after China refused to supply them. All three major manufacturers, Airbus, Boeing and Embraer have already halted supply of parts to Russian airlines.

Russian companies are also looking to register their planes, which had been registered abroad including in Ireland, after the western sanctions on Russia. Some of the aircraft are expected to return to leasing firms.

After the refusal of China to supply parts, Russia’s aviation sector is being more and more isolated by the western sanctions.
