What are airshows?

An elaborate demonstration or exhibit of different models of aircraft, airshows happen to be popular public events. While some airshows take place as a business venture, others promote certain models of aircraft to interested customers.

Military air firms usually hold big airshows in their airfields as a gesture of kindness to the local community. Airshows can play a large role in promoting military careers. The largest military airshow in the world happens to be the Royal International Air Tattoo in England. The total industry revenue for airshows comes to approximately $110 million every year.

Usually, the displays vary based on different factors like visibility and weather. Aerobatics, display of modern military aircraft designs and warbirds are common in airshows. Usually, a series of aeronautical attractions take place one after the other in adherence to the established rules and guidelines. The Grande Semaine d’Aviation de la Champagne of 1909 was the first public international airshow. There is nothing to fear when you visit an airshow- accidents are typically rare.
