British Airways will operate flights to Buenos Aires with a stopover in Brazil, in order to save fuel, money and increase frequency to the South American destinations.

British Airways will operate the daily flight from March 28th, 2021 onboard an Airbus A350-1000, making A350 the first Airbus aircraft to be operated by the airline on flights to South America. This new route will enable the airline to cut costs for two flights to the same region.

British flight BA247 will depart from Heathrow at 22:25 and will land in Sao Paulo at 06:10 the following day. The aircraft will then takeoff shortly at 07:10 and finally land in Buenos Aires at 10:05.

The return flight will depart Buenos Aires at 11:50 am, arriving in Sao Paulo at 14:30 and takes off an hour later to London. The Airbus A350 will then arrive back at Heathrow at 06:55.

However, passengers cannot book tickets to travel between Brazil and Argentina as it is not a fifth freedom flight.
