Taiwanese airline EVA Air is partnering with travel company Mobius for three-speed dating flights to nowhere, on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

The three long flights have the tagline of “Fly! Love is in the Air.” These flights are only for single men and women. Regarding this, Chiang Tsung-Wei, the spokesperson for the dating speed arm of Mobius told CNN:

“Because of Covid-19, EVA Air has been organizing “faux travel” experiences to fulfill people’s desire for travel. When single men and women travel, apart from enjoying the fun in travel, they may wish to meet someone, like a scene in a romantic movie.”

Each of these flights will depart from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport and will circle the Taiwanese airspace. They will get another two hours for a romantic date back on land.

Mobius is restricting the flight to 40 passengers, 20 women and 20 men for a price of US$295. Taiwanese men between the ages of 28 and 38 and women between 24 and 35 can be on board these flights.

All tickets for the first flight were sold within a week.
