Iran Air has ceased its operations to Manchester Airport having opened the new route back in July earlier this year.
The first flight between Tehran and Manchester was operated on July 4. The flights to Manchester were operated every week on Saturdays by the Airbus A330-200.
Instead, the oldest Middle east carrier has decided to launch a new route to Cologne in western Germany. This flight will also be operated by the Airbus A330-200. With this, the Iranian-flag carrier now serves 3 cities in Germany.
Currently, Iran Air flights is operating flights to seven European destinations in the UK, Germany, France, Austria and Italy.
Iran Air’s Director general of Public Relations Department, Hossein Jahani said:
“IranAir is currently offering scheduled flights on seven European routes. Flights to Germany’s Hamburg are being operated as per schedule on Tuesdays after months of suspension.”
“As of Oct. 30, IranAir will resume fights to Cologne on Fridays. Weekly flights to Frankfurt resumed on Oct. 3 and continue on Saturdays and Wednesdays.”
