Today, Qantas, has operated what is said to be its last Boeing 747 commercial flight before retirement.

The Boeing 747-400ER (reg. VH-OEE) operated flight #QF28 from Santiago de Chile to Sydney. The iconic 747 passed over Sydney Harbour at 2,100ft.

Sources close to the airline say this was the last ever Qantas 747 revenue flight (passenger service), after more than 48 years in operation.

Due to the coronavirus crisis and worldwide grounding of Qantas international flying, the last six Qantas 747s have been sold and will not return to service.
