BA is cancelling 216 flights from 16-28 March from London to destinations including New York, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Germany and Ireland.

The announcement came on Monday as the UK flag carrier slashed flights on routes across its short-haul network in addition to previously announced route suspensions and reductions to Italy, South Korea, and Singapore.

  • 12 x Heathrow to JFK
  • 171 short-haul round trip flights from London Heathrow to countries including Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland
  • 7 short-haul round trip flights from Gatwick to Italy, France and Albania
  • 26 short-haul round trip flights from London City (CityFlyer) to Germany and Italy

The airline also announced a temporary policy where customers booking flights between March 3 and March 16 will have the option to change their flights with no change fee in an attempt to inspire confidence in travel.
