BREAKING Catalan protesters are blocking access to Barcelona El Prat Airport

The Supreme Court of Spain found that nine of the twelve officials, behind the organisation of a referendum on Catalonia’s independence from Spain, were guilty of treason, rebellion, and the misuse of public funds.

Catalan protesters are block train, metro and road access to Barcelona Airport.

• UPDATE Both the metro and train have now resumed, the train operator and local police said.
• UPDATE Spanish railway service Renfe has suspended all trains to Barcelona El Prat airport following orders from the Catalan police.
