The man arrested at Glasgow Airport is NOT Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès

It’s the end of a mystery of more than eight years. Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès was arrested today at Glasgow Airport after flying from Paris CDG Airport.

The man is suspected of having murdered his entire family in April 2011 in Nantes, France. He was actively researched by the police which get informed of an imminent flight from Paris CDG Airport.

UPDATE According to French police, the man arrested at Glasgow Airport is NOT Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès.

He traveled under a false identity and was betrayed by his fingerprints. According to initial findings, he had undergone cosmetic surgery to change his appearance.

In April 2011, the bodies of his wife, Agnes, and his children, Arthur, 21, Thomas, 18, Anne, 16, and Benoit, 13, were found buried in several pieces in the garden of the family house.
