Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg warned investors that the company might need to temporarily halt the 737MAX production.

Boeing hopes to get approval for the plane to fly again sometime early in the fourth quarter.

Dennis Muilenburg said any further delays in approval to resume 737MAX flights could force a temporary shutdown of 737MAX production.

Boeing will present software fix to authorities not before September at the earliest, and in hope to have a certification flight in October CNN reports.

After the certification, Boeing CEO believes regulators will approve the 737MAX to resume commercial flights in a matter of weeks.
