The Portuguese charter airline Hi Fly will acquire two used Airbus A380s.

Both superjumbos are currently stored at Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrenees Airport in southern France, after Singapore Airlines had decided not to extend the leasing contract with DS Aviation. At the moment, the planes are registered as 9V-SKA (MSN003) and 9V-SKB (MSN005) and painted in white.

Hi Fly’s first Airbus A380-800 is scheduled to join the all-Airbus fleet in June this year, it will be wet-leased to other airlines, Hi Fly tells AIRLIVE.net. The first aircraft has a Maltese registration (9H-MIP), which means it is likely going to be operated by subsidiary Hi Fly Malta.
The airline becomes the 4th European and first Portuguese operator of this aircraft type.
