German low-cost carrier Eurowings cancels hundreds of flights from January 2018.

Germany’s Focus reports, the mass cancellations mostly affect domestic flights from Berlin Tegel and Munich.

Eurowings blames delays in the acquisition of Air Berlin assets, caused by antitrust regulation and the lack of aircraft for the cancellations.

A new high-speed rail line between Berlin and Munich was also mentioned as a possible reason.
