Cathay Pacific 747 B-LID CX37 from Delhi to LHR just departed from Delhi when the plane suffered an air strike.
Crew stopped the climb at 10,000ft and returned to Delhi for safe landing one hour after departure.
Reports that the engine suffered a fire was told by airlive.net but India’s largest newspaper was told by the airport that there had been no fire at all.
