A Chicago bound flight from Miami has been forced to land after a
passenger became unruly this afternoon.
The flight crew of American Airlines Flight 1284 Miami was forced
to land promptly at Indianapolis after a female passenger became unruly and
struck 3 cabin crew members & 1 passenger.
The aircraft was over Sullivan at around 5:30 pm when the passenger
made her way to the rear of the aircraft and proceeded to strike the passenger
and flight crew.
The aircraft landed at Indianapolis and police arrested the female
passenger and taken to the local police station.

The passenger now faces charges of battery resulting in bodily injury (for
the alleged assault of the American Airlines flight attendant), two counts of
battery, criminal recklessness, disorderly conduct and disruption of a flight.
