Holiday company Arke have been banned from offering trips to Aruba and Curaçao via Eindhoven later this year because of the fact that drug smugglers may use the flights.
MP’s and the Eindhoven Council concluded that there will be concerns over “Major drugs-related safety risks” to the region. The Justice Minister of the Netherlands Ard Van Der Steur said that flights from Aruba and Curaçao can only land at airports where there are facilities to inspect luggage.
