NEWS: Helicopter Carrying Ghana’s President Makes Emergency Landing

ACCRA, GHANA – Ghana’s army released a statement today stating the helicopter transporting Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama and his wife made an emergency landing on Friday night.

The helicopter flew into a storm with extremely strong winds which it could not fly through. The helicopter landed safely in what was described as an “open field” in Apatrampa, 250KM north of the capital.

There were no injuries to President Mahama or his wife. The incident was described as a “precautionary measure.”
