Edelweiss Air says it will draft three A340-300s and one more A320-200 into its fleet throughout the following three years. In an announcement, the relaxation expert said the A340s, sourced from guardian Swiss (LX, Zurich), would land somewhere around 2017 and 2018 and will be reconfigured with Economy, Economy Max and Business Class seatings. The A320 is situated to enter business benefit later on in November.

“Our arrangements are a noteworthy venture and responsibility to the business area that is Switzerland. By extending our flying machine armada, Edelweiss will become extensively and create 350 new employments in the advancing years,” carrier CEO Bernd Bauer said.

Edelweiss arrangements to utilise the added wide body ability to grow its system into north and South America with flights to Rio de Janeiro Int’l and Calgary set to begin in spring one year from now. Extra whole deal destinations will be reported later.

At present, Edelweiss works five A320-200s, one A330-300 (rented from Swiss), and one A330-200 on flights all through Europe, the Mediterranean, Canada, the United States, South Africa, the Caribbean, and the Far East.
