The Portland Rose Festival Foundation announced that the PDX carpet is the new Grand Marshal of the 2015 Starlight Parade. With the PDX carpet’s rise to fame, parade organizers said it was only fitting the carpet should ride front and center at the parade. The Grand Marshal’s nickname is Petey. It will be accompanied along the parade route by TSA agents, to guard it.
