A Boeing P-8 Poseidon took minor damage to its left main gear after a tire burst on landing.
At around 2:00 pm on the 10th at Kadena Air Base, Japan, a US Navy P8A patrol aircraft had trouble when its tires exploded after landing.
The southern runway was closed for several hours to collect tire debris.
According to eyewitnesses, white smoke rose during the landing, and two tires on the left main landing gear burst.
