NATO Air Policing was scrambled to intercept Russian fighter jets over East Europe

NATO fighter jets were scrambled 2 times over East Europe on 18 February.

Belgian F-16s on NATO Air Policing intercepted 2 Russian Su-27s and an IL-22 COOT flying near Allied airspace in the Baltics.

On the same day Polish F-16s intercepted a Russian TU-134 CRUSTY, escorted by 2x MiG-31s and 2x Su-27 Flankers that had not filed a flight plan.
