ALERT A U.S. Air Force F-35A has crashed, second crash in 5 days near the Eglin Base

A F-35A assigned to the 58th Fighter Squadron crashed upon landing around 9:30 p.m.

“The pilot successfully ejected and was transported to the 96th Medical Group Hospital at Eglin for evaluation and monitoring.” the Air Force Base tweeted.

The pilot was in stable condition and there was no loss of life or damage to civilians, it said.

This is the second crash of an aircraft operating out of the base in 5 days, with an F-22 Raptor going down on Friday, May 15th.
