Yesterday (Sept. 22), two nuclear-capable bombers Tu-160 Blackjack of Russian Air Force were intercepted and escorted by RAF Typhoons in Quick Reaction Alert.
Two RAF Typhoons from RAF Lossiemouth were scrambled to intercept and escort the Blackjacks as they were heading north of Scotland. The interceptors were supported by a Voyager tanker.
Earlier, two Norwegian F-16s intercepted the Tu-160s flying in international airspace, off the Norwegian coast.
