A person was sucked into the engine of a KLM aircraft at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

A fatal incident took place at Amsterdam Airport when a person ended up in a running engine.

A fatal incident took place at Amsterdam Schiphol, Netherlands today during which a person ended up in a running aircraft engine. Sadly, this person has died.

All passengers and crew of the flight in question disembarked and went to a special area of the airport.

The aircraft involved is an Embraer E-190 (registration PH-EZL). The circumstances are currently under investigation. The Dutch Safety Board has sent three investigators to Schiphol.

The flight concerned was KLM CityHopper #KL1341 bound for Billund when the accident occurred.
