Skydiving plane crash-lands on beach in southern Mexico, killing a 62-year-old man

A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft had to make an emergency landing on Bacocho beach, in Puerto Escondido.

The Cessna 208B (reg. (N80GE) Grand skydiving plane crash-landed on a beach, immediately after takeoff from runway 27 at Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM).

Locals tried to evacuate the people on board. One person on the beach was killed after being struck by the aircraft.

 

Several occupants of the aircraft were injured.
