Air France flight from Paris to Panama City is declaring an emergency.

Flight AF474 from Paris CDG to Panama City is turning around.

The Boeing 777-200ER departed Paris CDG at 16:05 CET to PTY from terminal 2E.

After 30 minutes into the flight, the crew squawked 7700 (general emergency) while cruising at 28,000ft.

The aircraft (reg. F-GSPJ) is 24 years old.

We have confirmation the flight AF474 is returning to Paris CDG for a technical issue.

UPDATE #2 14:55 CET
The aircraft is carrying 257 passengers and should be back in Paris by 15:30 CET.

UPDATE #3 15:39 CET
After burning/dumping fuel, flight AF474 has landed runway 26R at Paris CDG.
