ALERT KLM Boeing 737-800 slid into the grass at Gothenburg Airport

A KLM aircraft veered off the runway while taxiing in Gothenburg, Sweden.

A KLM Boeing 737-800 ran off the side of a taxiway while proceeding to the take-off.

The aircraft (PH-BXM) was performing flight #KL1152 from Gothenburg, Sweden to Amsterdam.

While taxiing to the runway 21, the nose gear at the front of the aircraft came off the runway. That ended up in the grass.

The 124 passengers and 6 crew members were unharmed and left the aircraft via a stairs.

According to a KLM spokesperson, there were winter conditions, but it is still unclear whether that was also the cause. That is now being investigated. The aircraft has now been towed away. It was snowing the time of the incident.

Another plane is on its way to Gothenburg to take the passengers to Amsterdam.
