Main gear of Aeroflot Boeing 777 flying from Moscow damaged during emergency landing

An Aeroflot plane flying from Moscow made an emergency landing at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sakhalin Region reported a plane flying from Moscow made an emergency landing.

“On the morning of December 1, information was received that an Aeroflot Boeing 777 aircraft, which had taken off from Moscow, was preparing to make an emergency landing at the airport in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk,” the statement said.

“There were 14 crew members and 408 passengers on board the Boeing 777. The aircraft independently cleared the runway along the taxiway and was then towed to the parking lot,” the report clarifies.

But footage shared on telegram shows the main landing gear has been damaged.

Emergency services reached the plane after landing.
