JEJU air Boeing 737 is holding since more than 2 hours after declaring an emergency

JEJU air flight 7C2252 is holding since departure form Bangkok.

Flight JJA2252 from Bangkok to Busan declared an emergency.

The Boeing 737-800 (reg. HL8061) declared an emergency right after takeoff from Bangkok.

The 15 years aircraft is burning fuel in order to reduce weight for a safe landing.

The tanks are fueled for a five-hour flight.

More than 2,5 hours after departure, the aircraft is still holding at 7,000 ft. The 737 doesn’t have the capability to dump fuel.

UPDATE #2 21.30 UTC

Flight JJA2252 is on hold since 3 hours. The Boeing 737-800 will return to Bangkok.

UPDATE #3 22.02 UTC

The flight has just returned, 3.5 hours after departure.
