British Airways 24 year-old Boeing 777 returned to London with a cracked windscreen

British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Orlando was forced to return.

The flight #BA2037 took off at 11:08 BST from London Gatwick to Orlando.

But between Ireland and Iceland the crew detected a technical issue.

The Boeing 777-200ER suffered a cracked windscreen.

The aircraft (reg. G-VIIP) was cruising at FL290. It landed back at 15:36 BST on runway 26L.

The 24 year-old plane was met by emergency vehicles on landing, then taxied to the gate.
