INCIDENT Flight operations halted at London Gatwick due to an A380 stuck on runway

Flight operations were suspended at London Gatwick for almost one hour due to stuck Airbus A380 on the runway.

Emirates Airbus A380 flight #EK9 from Dubai performed a missed approach due to a landing gear issue.

Flights were diverted to London Luton, London Stansted  and Birmingham.

After landing, the Emirates A380 (reg. A6-EUN) stopped at the western end of the runway and was surrounded by fire engines.

The aircraft suffered a hydraulic leak and loss of nose wheel steering. it had to be towed to the gate.
