A video shows the moment a cargo plane hits a runway hard, before bouncing and then aborting the landing.

The Boeing 747-400 is seen coming into land in Luxembourg, from Dubai Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates), where it bounces and the left wing drops.

The Boeing 747-4HQF(ER) aircraft (reg. LX-ECV) did a hard landing on Runway 06, followed by GO-around at the Luxembourg Airport (LUX) on 15 April.

The engines pod then touched the runway, the pilots decided to abort the landing.

The aircraft made a safe landing after 15 minutes on the same runway, with some damages.

Images posted online show the plane with a damaged engine.

Cargolux is the flag carrier cargo airliner for Luxembourg and currently operates an all-Boeing 747 fleet of 30 aircraft.
